Who We Are

Welcome to Elim Clapham Central!

We’re part of the Elim Pentecostal movement, a global church family passionate about Jesus. We believe He is the only way to a real relationship with God, offering forgiveness and new life to all who trust in Him. Guided by the Bible and the Holy Spirit, we desire to see lives transformed by God’s love. Church isn’t just a place—it’s a family where everyone is valued, encouraged to grow in faith, and serve with their unique gifts.

At Elim Clapham, we’re committed to building strong families and a thriving community. Whether you’re single, married, or searching for belonging, we want to be a home where you are loved and supported. Each week, we gather to worship, pray, and experience God’s presence, believing in His power to change lives. We’ve seen prayers answered and hearts renewed—and we believe the same is possible for you!

Our Pastor

Our Pastor

Our church is led by Pastor Felix Appiah who has been our Pastor since September 2023. He is involved in pastoral care and counselling and is responsible for most of the preaching and teaching in the church. His wife Felicia is also actively involved within the church. They have also been wonderfully blessed with two children Elisha and Eliana.

Our Vision

Our vision is to be a thriving, Christ-centered community that transforms lives and impacts our city and beyond with God’s love. We aspire to be a beacon of hope, welcoming all people to experience the life-changing power of Jesus, grow in their faith, and live out their purpose. Through intentional discipleship, compassionate outreach, and empowering leadership, we seek to inspire generations to follow Jesus and make a lasting impact on our world.

Our Beliefs

At Elim Clapham, we believe the Bible is God's Word, and through Jesus Christ we find salvation, purpose, and power to live transformed lives by the Holy Spirit.

We believe the Bible as originally given to be without error, the fully inspired and infallible Word of God, and the supreme and final authority in all matters of faith and conduct.

We believe in the true and proper deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His real and complete humanity, in His sinless life, in His authoritative teaching in His substitutionary and atoning sacrifice through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, in His heavenly intercession and in His second advent to receive His Church.

We believe that the Godhead exists co-equally and co-eternally in three persons – Father, Son and Holy Spirit – and that these three are one God, sovereign in creation, providence and redemption.

We believe in the deity of the Holy Spirit who proceeds from the Father and the Son and the necessity of His work in conviction of sin, repentance, regeneration, and sanctification, and that the believer is also promised an endowment of power as the gift of Christ through the baptism in the Holy Spirit with signs following. Through this endowment the believer is empowered for fuller participation in the ministry of the Church, its worship, evangelism, and service.

We believe in the necessity for salvation, of repentance towards God and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ by which the sinner is pardoned and accepted as righteous in God’s sight. This justification is imputed by the grace of God because of the atoning work of Christ, is received by faith alone and is evidenced by the fruit of the Spirit and a holy life.
